Can anyone recommend a good bank in Georgia?

I am interested in switching banks. I live in the Atlanta metro area and there are so many banks that I would like a recommendation. I currently have two checking accounts-- one with my small hometown bank and the other with Wachovia. There aren't any branches of my local bank within a few hundred miles of my new house and I just hate Wachovia.

I live in atlanta (perimeter area)...i looove Washington Mutual! bank of america sucks...i used to have them. everyone i know that has BOA has nothing but bad words. WM has free checks for life, no extra fees, and if you go to an non-wmutual atm, you arent charged from your bank, only the atm processor (unlike most banks, which you are charged from the atm and from your bank). if you overdraft, they lend you up to $ 100 one time only.. i really recommend them.

AMRO Bank (Amsterdamsche and Rotterdamsche Bank) was a major Dutch bank that was created from the merger of the Amsterdamsche Bank and the Roterdamsche Bank in 1964. Its name comes from the first two letters of the two originating banks. It went on to become one of the two main predecessors to ABN AMRO bank when it agreed to merge with Algemene Bank Nederland (ABN) in 1991.
The bank could trace it's roots back to at least 1765 and both the Amsterdamsche Bank and Rotterdamsche Bank had a long complex history. The building is situated on the famous Rembrandtplein (Rembrandt Square) in Amsterdam. (Source: Wikipedia).
