MRIs: What do insurance companies usually pay and, if no insurance, how much you gotta pay in cash?

I know that the MRI places can charge $ 15-1600 or more and that the insurance companies don't pay that much. What do insurance companies pay?

And if you don't have insurance, how much do you pay the MRI place?

I just had a CT scan done they charged my insurance $ 542.00 and I owe nothing. I have awesome insurance. My insurance paid the entire amount. Now I also had an MRI done recently, but I have not got the EOB on that one yet. I'm sure they paid well on that too. I am guessing if you don't have ins. you would have to pay the MRI place the full amount.
