What is You be the bank? and Adding to Piggy Bank

What is You be the bank?

What is the you be the bank concept?
http://www.becomingyourownbank.com

bank best answer:

Answer by Jake Thompson
You be the bank is a concept about creating wealth through the use of dividend paying whole life insurance. When you be the bank you learn how to overcome the risks involved with investing money, as well as learn how to utilize your capital to finance your own personal purchases. When you be the bank you learn how to bypass both the bank as financier and investment companies as as place to put money, to create a no risk wealth creation system.

You be the bank creates a very tax advantageous system as well.

When companies buy back their stock, does the value of their stock increase or decrease.?

I am in a stock market competition for my school.

Stock best answer:

Answer by First L
It depends.. But, generally, the stock price will increase because of supply and demand. The buy back means that there is a decrease in supply available for trading which makes the stock go up.

Finance undergrad Student looking for pointers?

Im 6 months away from graduating with a finance degree. My problem is that I just took two ( as far as im concerned ) very important finance classes. They are : Investments ( 300 level ) and Corporate finance . Problem is my teachers were terrible and although I passed I feel like if I missed out on a more challenging opportunity with another teacher. So with that in mind my question is really.

What must I know ( concepts ) in order to be successful at landing my first job. Things like ( Efficient frontiers, CAPM, beta, SML ) ??

I know i will need to tighten up my excel skills, thats a give in. But what concepts are most important for me to be thoroughly knowledgable about in order to secure at least an entry level finance job???

Finance best answer:

Answer by QWERTY
Supplement coursework with buying comprehensive Finance text , read and keep it with you. By finance it seems you are looking for investment type position, most of which involves specific training anyway. Personality and general aptitude are more important than being able to quote mean-variance to clients, at least in practice and maybe getting your foot in the door if you don't network enough .None of these abstract theories will be relevant for bank customer service, lending, etc. the other kind of Finance.

calculation pension fund investment yield (excel)?

A pension fund is making an investment of $ 100,000 today and expects to receive $ 1500 at the end of each month for the next five years. At the end of the fifth year, the capital investment of 100000 will be returned? What is the investment yield? I used excel and got 18%,but when using a investment yield calculator I get 13.% Can someone help?

Investment best answer:

Answer by Christopher C
Firts of all, $ 1500 times sixty months (5 * 12) will get you an extra $ 90,000. At the end of the fifth year only $ 90,000 will be returned, NOT the full 100,000!
You're getting a 1.5% interest increase each month, or a 18% annual increase.

Ionic bonds /covalent on periodin table?

Ionic bonds /covalent on periodin table?
list all possible ion bonds on the periodic table
which pairs are most likely to form ionic bonds? explain why.
''' '' covalent bonds? explain why.
whih are least likely to perform any type of bond?explain why?

Bond best answer:

Answer by lizbelle_28
Covalent bonding is a form of chemical bonding that is characterized by the sharing of pairs of electrons between atoms, or between atoms and other covalent bonds. In short, attraction-to-repulsion stability that forms between atoms when they share electrons is known as covalent bonding.

The most common type of covalent bond is the single bond, the sharing of only one pair of electrons between two atoms. It usually consists of one sigma bond. All bonds with more than one shared pair are called multiple bonds.

Sharing two pairs is called a double bond. An example is in ethylene (between the carbon atoms). It usually consists of one sigma bond and one pi bond.

Sharing three pairs is called a triple bond. An example is in hydrogen cyanide (between C and N). It usually consists of one sigma bond and two pi-bonds.

Quadruple bonds are found in the transition metals. Molybdenum and rhenium are the elements most commonly observed with this bonding configuration. An example of a quadruple bond is also found in Di-tungsten tetra(hpp).

Quintuple bonds have been found to exist in certain dichromium compounds.

The only known molecules with true sextuple bonds (order 6) are diatomic Mo2 and W2, in the gaseous phase at very low temperatures. Although diatomic Cr2 and U2 have formal structures with twelve-electron bonds, their effective bond orders (derived from quantum chemistry calculations) are less than 5. There is strong evidence to believe that no two elements in the periodic table can form a bond with greater order than 6.[6]

An ionic bond (or electrovalent bond) is a type of chemical bond based on electrostatic forces between two oppositely-charged ions. In ionic bond formation, a metal donates an electron, due to a low electronegativity to form a positive ion or cation. In ordinary table salt (NaCl), the bonds between the sodium and chloride ions are ionic bonds. Often ionic bonds form between metals and non-metals. The non-metal atom has an electron configuration just short of a noble gas structure. They have high electronegativity, and so readily gain electrons to form negative ions or anions. The two or more ions are then attracted to each other by electrostatic forces.

Extra needed income = 2480 - (25000 x .06) = 980

Investment x 7% = 980 ...... 980/ .07 = $ 14,000 using a 2 step process.

Adding the third stock likely reduced risk more. The more stocks you add to a portfolio the more the risk is reduced but so is the expected return of the portfolio. Adding the tenth stock likely reduced the expected return more than it reduced the risk.
