How can taxation be considered anything other than theft?

Taxation is theft because it's involuntarily forced on us in order to pay for services that would run far more productively in a free market, where products and services are held to a higher standard. If they didn't steal from us and counterfeit fiat money they would not be able to pay for these endless illegal wars and failed government entities. Only in a true free market can we find peace and prosperity. Nothing good comes from the ever expanding reach of government.
You citing an unethical act by a fire department does not make free market ineffective. A fire department in this situation should still aid those who are unable to pay. In an ideal free market society this fire department would be out of business quick because the people would see their unethical decision stop paying for there services and instead pay for another small department ( that will grow obviously )
False analogy. You cannot compare the people of this country to the people of Somolia. The same exact fre market would have VERY different results

The best way to look at general taxes is you are paying rent for living in a country that you don't actually own.
