What type of bond is that between one base and another acid? and bond_3

What type of bond is that between one base and another acid?

for example, what type on bond exists between negative charged carboxyl group and positive charged amino group?

like covalent...ionic...etc...?

or any other acids or bases for that matter.

Also...would the bonds i mentioned above, be the same as the internal bonds of a single acid (for example HCl, the bond between the H and the Cl.) What about if this were a weak acid?

It should be covalent as they are both non-metals

Ionic bonds are bonds between and metal and a non-metal.
