How can I buy a PAPER US Treasury savings bond?
I usually purchase a $ 100 savings bond per year. But last year, I couldn't get around to it. I went to get one today and my teller informed me that they no longer provide paper savings bonds, that you have to create accounts online with "TreasuryDirect". I don't want a stupid online account. I want a paper bond!! I only always purchase Series I". So is there any way for me to purchase a paper savings bond or not?
Thanks!

You're a month too late. Paper bonds are gone, unless you buy with your income tax refund. I think this is the only way since 12/31/11 to get paper bonds. You need an treasurydirect.gov account to make other purchases.
