Those days are gone when they were driven by political situations , company status and long term perspectives. Stock markets are now purely gambling arenas. Only liquidity and margins control the stock prices. It's highly hedged and leveraged game.
the european and before that american crises have affected stock prices only because the equations on margins changed and stability/availability of funds from banks was doubtful.
