Can I use a tamale steamer as a stock pot?
I bought a large steamer pot today thinking it was a stock pot. It is a very thin aluminum pot. Not sure if I can use it as a stock pot or not.

When aluminum is really thin, it heats fast. You need something thicker to distribute the heat. Otherwise, you would have to constantly stir the liquid to make sure it didn't stick to the bottom.
