What is the loan period on a finantial aid loan form?
Is the loan period the time you need the loan for? Like, the semester you'll need it to pay or is it when the loan starts and then when you will start paying it off?

If you're in school you probably don't have a job that would allow you to repay the loan before you graduate, so the loan period will be the time you expect to be in school.
