What is the best entry level job to become a loan officer?

I am senior, finance major and I have been looking at the different options that are out there. Loans and mortgages interest me. I have learned that to become a loan officer you need a lot of previous experience with loans among other things. What is the best starter job if I want to make a career as a loan officer or mortgage broker?

A processor is the best start... it trains you on the rules/regs, what you will need from clients when you do become a loan officer & gives you a company to sponser you (which you must have to originate loans). I started as a processor in 1986 & now manage a mortgage company & also have my L/O license, underwriting etc. It's a great field to be in.
