How long do international money transfers through a bank usually take?

This is not a scam, this is an actual transfer from a bank in Japan to my bank in the US (bank of America), its from my brother in Japan (not military, teaching English in the public school), I'm just wondering how long it usually takes for an international bank transfer to go through.
