What major is more difficult overall: Accounting or Finance? And which one offer more opportunities?

Or are they about equal in the level of difficulty in their curriculum? Also, someone told me there are better job opportunities in finance, and you dont have to work as hard...is this true?

Accounting is more difficult. There are more opportunities in Accounting, but better, higher paying positions are in finance. You can jump from Accounting to Finance, but you can't jump from Finance to Accounting.

Right now, it is much harder to find positions in finance than it is in Accounting
