How many electrons are used in the carbon-carbon bond in C2H2?

Since C2H2 has a triple bond between the carbon-carbon bond, I thought there would be 6 electrons. However, the answer says that there are apparently 4. Why?

You are correct, it is a triple bond which means there would be 6 electrons. The answer is incorrect.
