How can I tell the difference between a regular car insurance policy ,and a group insurance policy?

You mean a business insurance policy, and a personal insurance policy? The declarations page will say "personal auto policy" or "commercial auto policy".

As far as the insurance card goes, if it's in the name of a corporation, it's a business insurance policy. If it's an individual, it might be business but it's probably personal.
