Can I open anaccount with a bank, if I already have an overdraft account with another bank?
I have a bank account with an overdraft, which I am well into - is it possible for me to open another account with a different bank which would also have an overdraft?

Not if they reported you to ChexSys. It is how banks share information in order to stop people from jumping from bank to bank and screwing each one over.
