What are the pros and cons of taking out a car loan for smaller payments but longer term?

We try to pay off a loan before the loan limit is up so that we can save on interest. Is this a good idea or not?

well, its kind of an insurance policy. if you can pay early good deal.if something happens and you cant , youre still safe.
