What is the Agricultural Bank of China? What does agriculture have to do with it?

I've tried researching this bank but nothing specific pops up. I want to know why this bank has "Agricultural" in its name.

Because that is the way this bank got started by making loans to farmers. In the meantime the bank has expanded into other areas and simply saw no need to change their name.

A former Wetherspoon's (and before that, unsurprisingly, a bank branch), now another chain on the corner near the station. Closed as of 2013. (It was in the Good Beer Guide as the Banker's Draft.)

Address: 36-38 Friern Barnet Road.
Former Name(s): The Banker's Draft.
Owner: Barracuda Group [Smith and Jones] (former); Ambishus (former); JD Wetherspoon (former).
