I will answer this, but it will lead o more questions on your part. If you are age 16+ seek an internship at a brokerage.

Stocks are an equity ownership in a company.

A broker is someone whom acts as an intermediary/go between for those wanting to purchase stock and those wanting to sell stock.

To become a stock broker, in the past you needed to have general working knowledge of investment products in addition to having exceptional customer service skills, and being able to sell your services.

Most are required to become licensed, and registered with FINRA. Additional requirements vary by brokerage.

I think a local "branch" of a brokerage or full service bank would be an ideal start for you.

Bank of America
Wellsfargo
Citibank
