What is the life of an Investment Banker Like?
Does anyone have a good resources that chronicle the life of an investment banker? Maybe what they do from hour to hour and the challenges they face on a more PERSONAL level? I know they make a lot of money and work long hours, but I am interested in what kind of people they REALLY are.

Top ten percent of the top ten schools. Do you know any of these people? There is quite a wide variety. The common thread is that they are ambitious. It is not uncommon for them to be accomplished athletes, award winning people- I even knew one guy who was high up at Citi and he had been an opera singer. As far as personal lives- some are down to Earth and some are livin' large. There are the high school nerds who have the "top shelf" wives. The people who tend to write books feed the stereotype of obnoxious, self-absorbed, drug abusing, drunken, high spending a-holes (they do exist). Obviously a book about a nice guy or woman who takes care of their parents and is on the PTA etc. wouldn't be a big hit. They are the brainy kids from HS.
The biggest challenge is time. They get up early and have a lot of business dinners and travel.
I am really talking about traders more than investment bankers.
