To make the most money, you will want to be an all-lines agent, selling auto, home, life, health, basically a one stop shop. If you are a captive agent with a reputable company, expect to make about $ 30-40K your first year, and hopefully more that that as your book grows. That is how it was for me anyway, and I worked my butt off. Good Luck!
