How did taxation office know where I was?
I am from Australia and went to New Zealand for a business trip for 4 days. On the 1st night I was staying there I recieved a call from the Australian taxation office because I was owing some import tax on some goods from China. I do not know how they knew I was staying at a motel in New Zealand. There is no application anywhere to say I was staying at that motel. In fact that motel was not in writing anywhere other than a personal print-out for my own reference. Any ideas, I am stumped?

Sounds like maybe they called your home or office, and somebody gave them the number where you could be reached.
