What are some positions in the declaration of independance that are contrary to the Lockean themes?
Ok, I have to write a paper on the declaration of independence, it has to be about the creation of the document and needs to be a two sided argument. I try as hard as I can to stay away from writing the same thing as everyone else in the class, so instead of talking about taxation or slavery, I chose to talk about John Locke. I need to know if there are any opinions that differ from Locke's that are or could be related to the declaration of independence.
