How do i purchase a municipal bond?

Suppose I find a bond I want. How/where do I place the order? Whom/how do I pay? How does the "bond" get into my account? Is it a piece of paper or what? What sort of account do I need in order to hold a bond? Do you have to set up an account at the web site where you purchase the bond?

There are Broker firms that specialize in municipal bonds. http://www.gmsgroup.com/default.asp
Call a dealer or banker who is registered with the Municipal Securities Rule-Making Board. There are 2,700 registered municipal bond dealers nationwide. Remember, the minimum investment in a municipal bond issue is usually $ 5,000. http://www.fmsbonds.com/default.asp?source=google&kw=purchase%20municipal%20bond&gclid=CJL23ZzaiZ8CFYdd5QodtVZAhQ
You would have to set up an account with the purchase of the bond. You do not have to set up a trading account. After you set up the bond purchase account, you can choose to hold a certificate or keep a book entry.
