What is the difference between diatomic molecules and double bonding?
i thought that diatomic molecules consist of two atoms covalently bonded together and that double bonding is the sharing of two electrons in a covalent bond....am i wrong? if so please explain

a di-atomic molecule cannot be naturally found on its own in natuer ex oxygen its always either di-atomic (th o2 we breathe the o3 in ozone) or is bonded with something else h2o, htso4 etc.
