Is it possible to change your banking information to recieve an expected stimulus check in May?

I filed my taxes electronically and recieved my refund to my bank account. That bank account was compromised and will be closed as soon as I get back into the country. Is it possible to change my banking information to a different bank to recieve my stimulus check?

Doubtful that the changed banking information would get to the IRS in time.
Best see if you can get that compromised account closed ASAP.

Some literature mentions that this Allied Irish Banks branch used to be the Munster & Leinster Bank. But the stonework of the façade reads 1873 and MB. Munster & Leinster Bank was not founded until 1885 so this could not have been the Munster & Leinster, not when built in 1873 anyway.

Rather, I suspect this was the Munster Bank building. Munster Bank was founded in Cork in southern Ireland in 1864. In 1870, Munster Bank acquired private bank David La Touche & Son of Dublin. This would agree with this 1873-era building as well as the MB motifs (rather than ML or MLB if it were the Munster & Leinster Bank).

In 1885 though, Munster Bank collapsed following allegations that the bank made significant and un-recoverable loans to the bank's directors and main shareholders. The resulting bank run drained the capital of the bank and it shut down. In the same year though, the government brokered the founding of a new bank called Munster & Leinster Bank, and it took over the branches, customers and deposits of the old Munster Bank.

Munster & Leinster Bank consolidated with the Royal Bank of Ireland and the Provincial Bank of Ireland in 1966 to form the Allied Irish Banks, or AIB, which still occupies this building.
