Would a major in Finance and a minor in Information Systems be a good idea?

Right now I am leaning towards majoring in Finance over Accounting. I have a friend who recommended me to minor in Information Systems if I was going to major in Finance. Is that a good idea?

Not a bad idea at all if the school will allow it.

Many Business programs do not allow you to minor but do require you to have a "concentration". I have known a number of students who earned a BBA with a double concentration - Finance and IT, Finance and Accounting, Management and IT, and many more.
