How do banks determine exchange rate? and South Bank Graffiti

How do banks determine exchange rate?

I need to wire money to Japan. Does anyone know how banks determine exchange rate? I know the exchange rate fluctuate every second/minute. Which bank is the best for wiring money to Japan?

exchange rates are set by the market which is what banks base there rates on - I don't think it really matters which bank you use as some will have better rates by may charge more in fees while others will have lower fees but give you worse rates. Ring a couple up and ask them.

Maybe try somewhere like Western Union as an alternative for wiring money
