What insurance do I bring to Walk in court?
I got a ticket for not having proof on insurance at the time ( I had insurance, just didnt have the paper)
Since I got the ticket, I changed insurance companies.
So my court date is tomorrow and the only proof I have of insurance is my current one, of which did not cover the time I got the ticket.
Does the court just want proof of insurance, or do they want to see my old insurance? If it is the latter, how do I get my old insurance If I am not with them anymore (Farmers).
Thanks
I live in Bay area, CA btw.

bring in your current proof of insurance, this is what I did, the fact that your insurance was renewed (the proof is your new policy) should be good. Keep in mind, the judge is much more interested in the people who DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE, I understand you changed companies, keep in mind that judge is able to check easily if he needs more information. so dress respectfully, watch the court proceedings carefully and you will get an idea of how its going to go, long before you are in front of the judge, answer yes your honor or no your honor, to all the questions. good luck, you should be good to go. WATCH HOW SOME PEOPLE TRY TO VOLUNTEER MORE INFORMATION THEN THE JUDGE ASKS, THEN DO NOT DO THAT.
