The Statement is..

Explain the difference between ionic and covalent bonding in terms of the electrostatic attractions involved.

Does this mean that i should talk about the weak bonds in covalent and the strong bonds in ionic and melting and boiling points or that covalents bonds share electrons and ionic bonds take electrons?

Covalent bonds is the same as molecular bonds.
