Can anyone help me with an organic chemistry problem involving determining sigma bonds?

I need to know how many sigma bonds are in the following compound:

CH3-CH=CH-CH2-CH=CH-CH3

I thought that sigma bonds were related to single bonds and 1 of the double bonds, so i thought the answer was 6, but webassign says the answer is wrong. It also said that 2,3, and 4 are all wrong. Can someone please help?

There are 18 sigma bonds. You have missed the ones with Hydrogen. Ex: CH3 has 3 sigma bonds, -CH= has 3 sigma bonds and 1 pi bond. So count again and you will find there are 18 :)

Sigma bonds are not only the bonds between Carbon-Carbon, but also between Carbon-Hydrogen or Carbon-X.
