An Eastbound District Line D Stock train leaves West Kensington and heads for Earl's Court. This is a single ended 3 car unit, attached to another of the same type. The car nearest the camera is 7026 - the last three numbers begining with either a 0 or 1 indicate a single ended unit. A 5 would indicate a double ended unit, which could run as a three car formation (and has on the East London Line). 7000-7129 are driving motor cars, with even numbers at the west end and odd numbers at the east. Trailer cars (middle of the three cars) are 17000 to 17129 and uncoupling non-driving motor cars are numbered 8000-8129 again with even numbers at the West end and odd numbers at the east. Not quite sure what the circle means before 7026 on this unit - not all cars have it.
