Could citizens of a state rebel against federal taxation demanding their taxes go to their state?



figuring that at least the money is going nearby and more likely to stay local in their communities benefit them?

Its not so much the taxing that is the problem but that its taxation with very little representation.
With the states having more taxing power than they do now and the feds having less, it would put us closer to representative government.

Sure, then the federal government would go broke and the country would fall apart and some dictator would come in and take everything over, leaving you with no representation at all. Brilliantly thought out.
