I'm wondering why you want to get a Masters in Taxation if there is such a thing. I have never heard of such.
Income taxes are generally handled by CPAs.
If you have some kind of complicated tax situation where you are fighting with the IRS, then you might consult a Tax Accountant or a Tax Attorney. Those cases are usually won by the IRS. Generally if you're going up against the IRS, you're not going to win.
I live in a city of 200,000 and there is ony 1 tax accountant in the entire city. He only has a part time secretary and no other employees. That's because there is no demand for his services. If there is a dispute with the IRS, a CPA can deal with the IRS. You don't have to hire a tax accountant or a tax attorney for that.
If I were you I would major in Accounting as there are many more jobs in Accounting than any other business field and they pay fairly well. Good luck.
