What is the significance of a stock's price?
Aside from making/losing money after purchasing a stock, does a stock's price really hold any significant meaning? A solid company's stock can either go up or down; professional investors use earnings as an indicator, but earnings doesn't mean anything if the market doesn't react "appropriately." Why does it matter if a stock is overvalued or undervalued, and when does the market correct itself for a stock's price?

I trade penny stocks and the price matters http://www.thepennystockblog.com In general, price is based on supply and demand. So, if everything you spoke of is great and the pps is low, it will cause a run on the stock, not necessarily a run but a move up, traders like to look for support in a strong company while the price is rising over time.
