How do you cash a check without a bank?
I have a friend who had a bad situation with an insurance company not cancelling their plan after selling their car, and continued to process payments. They were unable to pay back the bank and so the bank closed out their account. They have tried to open other bank accounts, and the banks will not allow an account to be open.
How does someone cash a paycheck, or a check in general, if they can't use a bank?

Amscot. They'll charge you a small fee, but as long as you have a photo ID and can prove you're you, they'll do it.

Description: Bank building is constructed of timber with a shingle roof. Double wooden entry doors are at the front and side of the building and a stone chimney is at the back. J. Turnbull Chemist and Druggist occupies the shop next to the bank.
Stanthorpe is the commercial centre of the Granite Belt in Queensland. The region is unique for its wide seasonal variations, occasionally snowing in winter. The name Stanthorpe comes from the Latin word 'stannum', meaning tin, and the English word 'thorp' meaning village. The town grew around a coaching station established in 1857 and boomed in 1872 when tin was discovered near Quart Pot Creek. Fruit growing and winemaking are the two main industries in Stanthorpe today. (Information taken from: UBD Queensland Country Link Street & Travel Directory - 15 ed.)
