New Monthly Bank Fees. Government Or Bank Greed?
Nationwide banks have a new grandfather law that requires all new accounts that open during and after the winter of 2010 will be subjected to a new monthly maintenance fee.
My business bank advisor requested that I open any new business bank accounts before that deadline or I would have to fear these new fees. The new fee schedule does not affect any person who links direct deposit to their account. The five bank card usage per month is out the window.
My situation as a business owner is going to be different than lets say a college student who does not work and keeps a minimum bank balance. But this affects us all. In a college students case what are you charging them to maintain?? At any rate we should charge the bank and government for allowing you to hold our money that earns you interest and stock value.
