can not modify or delete stock alert?

Problem is, when I try and modify the alert, I get the message "Error saving alert. Please try again.". So, tried deleting the entire alert (several stocks) and get the same message.

Toolbar settings > Edit Apps > hover above the stock alert app and click the red X. Then click 'i'm done".
