Not particularily, but Scotiabank offers immigrants many options and programs also Royal Bank of Canada, Bank of Montreal or TD Canada Trust

Following the split-up of China into the People's Republic of China (Beijing-based communist government) and the Republic of China (Taipei-based Nationalist/ Kuomintang government), the two Chinas were officially at war even though fighting ended in 1949. Still, China saw Taiwan as a renegade government and tried to isolate it internationally.

Even though British Hong Kong otherwise maintained very close relationships with Taiwan, for some reason in banking services, Taiwanese banks were banned from having a branch network during the colonial days. Ironically, the ban was lifted soon after Hong Kong was returned to China in 1997. Now, Taiwan's Fubon Bank has a branch network in Hong Kong.
