Why does the price of a stock fluctuate?
In a market, if somebody want to sell the stocks he owns, he can always sell those stocks at a price. But what determines the price of the stock sold?
Especially during the great depression in the 30s, the stock market crashed. The apparent phenomenon was that many share holders sold their stocks. Later the stock price dropped greatly. Is selling of the stocks responsible for the price to drop?
