Why should finance be incorporated into University General Education Requirements?

I'm doing a paper on why finance should be incorporated for every student. 2 of my reasons are to help students be knowledgeable on ways to deal with the debt of school, to take future stress off when married which could help decrease divorce rate. Can someone help me find another?

what you are describing as the content of a course is NOT 'Finance', but MAYbe 'Personal Finance'.

The purpose of general education is to provide a 'general education' that produces a well-rounded person.
