Can one bank take money out of your checking from a different bank account to pay a credit card balance?



Can one bank take money out of your checking account from a different bank account to pay a credit card balance? For example if i have a balance due for a credit card I have with one bank can they track down my new bank with my social and account information and take money from it to pay the credit card balance that I owe?

The credit card bank would have to sue and win a judgment. With that judgment, they can garnish your wages, attach any bank account and lien personal property. If they get a judgment, they won't have to track down your new bank account. They can file court paperwork to subpeona you to provide detailed info on your assets.
