i am a single mom of 2 girls. I have a special needs child who is currently in the hospital. She is in and out alot. I have bad credit and need a loan to help me get through the holidays. I do have a job but it has been hard to work with daughter in and out. I just need help to get us through the holidays.

If you are a single mother with a special needs child, the government should be paying the medical expenses on top of your carers allowance and family benefit. I would inform your medical health practitioner of your situation immediately and request she/he write a letter to the hospital specialist on your behalf, with the hospital Director/CEO copied in.

That is if you reside in Australia or the UK. If you reside in the States I cannot advise you as I have heard the situation differs. We pay our taxes here for medical emergencies, however where we do get caught out medically, is when we do not have private health insurance at the time one is admitted into hospital [the waiting lists are extremely long for many people] in great pain.

However, hospitals do carry out emergency surgery and admit accident victims promptly in life threatening circumstances in most instances.
