how do investment companies gain profit?
i don't get it?????? as far as i understand they get their profit by the turn over (net profit) of the company (in which the investment company has invested) according to the % of shares the investment company holds and also from the stock prices which rises, am i right? or do they earn by some other ways???

If you're refering to an investment services company, which I think you are, they make their money buy getting paid to invest other peoples money
Through mutual funds, bond funds, and whatever other investment product they offer, they give you a way to invest your money, for a price...
And since the price is usually a percentage of assets and not a set dollar amount, the more people invested, the more money they make by leaps and bounds....
