Registration in GA but have Ohio insurance policy?

I'm moving to ohio and called my insurance company to get my insurance changed over. I will have georgia license plates and a insurance policy though ohio. Is that even legal to do?
I will be transferring my plates over when i get back to ohio. I know i have to do that. But for right now can i have an ohio policy and have georgia plates until i get back to ohio to get my cars registered up there when i move?

Yes. It is legal. All that matters is that an insurance company is licensed to write insurance in your new state. Any doubts? Ask your insurance agent.;
