why Na^-1Cl^+1 got a ionic bond????



Na is a metal and Cl is no metal element and ionic bond is from metal + metal so why?

An ionic bond is not metal to metal. It is from ion to ion. What the ions characteristics aside from charge is irrelevant. Na+ and Cl- are opposite charged and so will have the ionic bond.
