How do you get a personal loan from credit union?

I'm looking for a personal loan for personal reasons, the interest is not a problem it will be paid back in a responsible manner. That being said I have no credit but I am a member of a credit union. Can I get a personal loan from them?

loan best answer:

Answer by Merry
Check with your credit union. If you said you were at a bank, I'd say that you had no chance if you don't have any other credit.

Credit unions are more flexible, so there MIGHT be a chance - especially if it's not a big loan.

Who gives higher returns of interest Banks or Investment companies when it comes to mutual funds?

Who's going to give the best return in Mutual Funds, a bank or an investment company? Who's less likely to have all the fees that come along with me investing in mutual funds?

Investment best answer:

Answer by Barnaby J
Mutual funds can be rated on their strengths and return by going to
www.morningstar.com
Each fund will list your management fee and load (up front fee) if any.
Every bank and brokerage house can put you in ANY fund that you want. It might be cheaper through one company/bank compared to another. Just tell them which funds you would like and stick to your choice (don't let them sell you)
Good luck!

How does insurance handle premises liability lawsuit?

How does insurance company handle premises liabilty lawsuit? If their client is was at fault for negligence do they offer to settle? After their client turn in the papers(lawsuit) to their insurance what does he insurance do? How long to they take to contact the plantiff's lawyer?

insurance best answer:

Answer by Zarnev
There is no set lenght of time but they will contact the lawyer immediately after receiving and processing the paperwork. The insurance company will then do an investigation even if the client was negligent. How complicated the case is usually the biggest factor in the time that it takes. They will normally offer to settle to keep the case out of court but if they think the plaintiff is asking too much or if they think fraud may be involved they may not offer.

This is the Ideal Insurance building on Moor Green Lane in Moseley (can also see it from Russell Road).

It's at 123 Moor Green Lane.

It was the home of Pitmaston. Other names include: The Ideal Benefit Society, Ideal Insurance Holdings Ltd.

It is a Grade II listed building.

Company Headquarters. 1930-31. Holland W. Hobbiss (1880-1970) for the Ideal Benefit Society. Brick with pantile hipped roofs. Wooden sash windows. Stone entrance porch, architraves to pair of secondary doors, and balustrade to angled towers. T-shaped plan in a restrained symmetrical Neo-Classical style.

Pitmaston, Moor Green Lane - British Listed Buildings

A gate for pedestrians.

Recently it was used by the Church of Scientology (for the Birmingham headquarters), although I could see no sign of that use now.

What is the balance of this treasury stock account after these transactions? and Stock Squirrel.

What is the balance of this treasury stock account after these transactions?

If I repurchased 2,000 shares of my own stock for $ 40 per share. And the stock has a par of $ 10 per share. A month later I resold 1,200 of the treasury stock for $ 48 per share. What is the balance of the treasury stock account after these transactions?
And how do I fiqure this out please?

Stock best answer:

Answer by Larry
You'll be holding 800 shares (the 2,000 you repurchased less the 1,200 you later resold). Your cost basis is 2,000 x $ 40 = $ 80,000. You sold 1,200 x $ 48 = $ 57,600. This means that the 800 shares you're still holding cost you $ 28/share ($ 22,400 / 800).

All common stock shares have the same par value regardless of the date they were purchased. The company sets the par value at the issuance of the stock, usually at a nominal value.

How do I get into finance while getting Engineering Bachelors? and African Finance Ministers Presser

How do I get into finance while getting Engineering Bachelors?

Getting Bachelor's in Aerospace. Am currently a sophomore. Would like to get an MBA after grad and go into finance. What can I get into this summer to benefit myself in future. Should or can I get internship in banking? OR am I best sticking with internship in Aero until after MBA? I want to help myself out the best that I can to get into the business field.

Finance best answer:

Answer by Michelle
First of all, I'd like to ask you, if you know you want to go into finance at the end of the day, when are you still pursuing your Engineering degree in Aerospace? Is it for your personal interest?

For now, I think you should consider taking as many finance/business courses are you can (maybe double major/minor in Business?). This will 1) help you figure out whether you REALLY like finance, and 2) increase your chances of getting a finance internship interview eventually (it's rare that a company will consider interviewing an engineering major with no finance background).

A few comments about going into finance through getting an MBA... Why not do pursue finance now as an undergrad? MBA tuition is not cheap, plus top MBA schools (if you want to go to MBA school, you should go for the top ones) will only consider you if you have valuable work experience to share with your fellow classmates. It will be tough getting into a good MBA school straight after undergrad.

I hope this helps!
