What repairs will my car insurance cover?

I never had car insurance or a car untill just recently so I dont know what good my insurance is, its just liability, the cheapest their is. How do I know if my car insurance will cover this repair?
btw I wasent in any accident, this damage was already part of the car when I bought it.
someone did a hit and run on my car. but I only have liability. will it cover it? what should I do?

Liability just covers the other person in a accident. It will not cover any repair on your vehicle. You would need full coverage for that and would still have to pay a deductable of usually 500 or 1000 dollars.
