Is there any insurance I could have purchased to cover my contents for Hurricane Ike?

I live in the Galveston Texas area.I filed a claim with my insurance company from the damage caused by Hurricane Ike. My homeowners insurance is not paying anything at all. Texas Wind Insurance Association is paying only for damage caused to the house itself, they are not covering my contents. Is there any insurance I could have purchased to cover my contents?

Why is your homeowner's insurance not paying? Was it flood damage?

The 17th Annual Holiday Train Show, on display in the New York Botanical Garden's Enid A. Haupt Conservatory from November 23, 2007 to January 13, 2007, presents a winter wonderland twinkling lights and sixteen model trains, including the Union Pacific, New York Central, and Great Northern Railway, zipping along over bridges and on 1,000 feet of winding tracks past scaled replicas of New York landmarks made by award-winning designer Paul Busse and his team of landscape designers and botanical architects at Applied Imagination in Alexandria, Lentucky. Orange slices, cinnamon sticks, poppy pods, pine cones, twigs and other plant parts make a festive brew as the materials used to create the more than 140 architectural reproductions. Returning favorites like the the Brooklyn Bridge, Yankee Stadium, and St. Patrick's Cathedral were joined by 2007's new additions--Ellis Island and the George Washington Bridge.

The Empire State Building is a 102-story contemporary Art Deco style skyscraper, declared by the American Society of Civil Engineers to be one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Rising to 1,250 (381 m) at the 102nd floor, and a full structural height (including broadcast antenna) of 1,472 feet (448 m), it was the first building to top 100 floors when completed in 1931. It remained the tallest skyscraper in the world for a record 41 years until the construction of the World Trade Center. The facade of the Garden's replica is adorned with lotus pods, hemlock cones walnut shells, acorn caps, and honeysuckle twigs. Sand in glue and tile grout are used for masonry.

The Metropolitan Life Insurance Tower at One Madison Avenue, New York City was the world's tallest building from 1909 to 1913, when it was surpassed by the Woolworth Building.

The New York Botanical Garden, spanning some 250 acres of Bronx Park, was founded in 1891 on part of the grounds of the Belmont Estate, formerly owned by the tobacco magnate Pierre Lorillard, after a fund-raising campaign led by Columbia University botanist Nathaniel Lord Britton, who was inspired to emulate the Royal Botanic Gardens in London. It contains 48 different gardens and plant collections.
